Scholarship Provider: The Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund
Eligible Students: Eligible applicants are women from developing countries currently enrolled at the University of Witwatersrand, University of Stellenbosch, University of Pretoria and University of Cape Town in South Africa.
Course: Grant is available for students who are currently studying at the University of Witwatersrand, University Stellenbosch, University of Pretoria and University of Capetown.
Award Details: MMMF awards grants of approximately US$4,000 each.

Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships for Ghanaians
Scholarship Provider: Swiss Government, through the Federal Commission
Eligible Students: The applicant must not be more than 35 years old at the moment of the application.
Course: Scholarships are available for pursuing PhD, postdoctoral and research programs and fine arts scholarships are for the Master program (according to the ECTS credits).
Award Details: PhD Scholarships and Research scholarships amounts to a monthly payment of 1920 Swiss Francs

Canadian Government Doctoral Research Scholarships for Ghanaians
Scholarship Provider: Government of Canada
Eligible Students: Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements for the competition closing date, which is the 1 st November 2015.
Course: Scholarships are available for pursuing doctoral studies at Québec University.
Award Details: The maximum annual value of the doctoral research scholarship for international students is $20 000.

Chevening Scholarships for Ghanaians
Scholarship Provider: Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organizations
Eligible Students: To be eligible for a Chevening Scholarship you must be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country.
Course: The programme provides full or part funding for full-time courses at postgraduate level, normally a one-year Master’s degree at any UK University.
Award Details: A full Chevening Scholarship award normally comprises university tuition fees and a monthly stipend.

WAAW Foundation Scholarship for Ghanaians
Scholarship Provider: WAAW Foundation
Eligible Students: Female students of African origin living in Africa, less than 32 years, have gained Undergraduate admission to a University or College in Africa and studying a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) related degree course.
Course: Scholarship is available for pursuing undergraduate degree level at university or college in Africa.
Award Details: Scholarship recipients receive an award of $500 for the 2016 academic year, or the equivalent in their country’s local currency

DAAD Master Scholarships for Ghanaians
Scholarship Provider: DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service)
Eligible Students: The scholarship scheme is open to candidates from Africa, Latin America, South Asia, Southeast Asia as well as from countries in the Middle East.
Course: Scholarships are for Master courses at a German institution of higher education.
Award Details: DAAD pays a monthly scholarship rate of currently 750 €.

Philosophy Scholarships at University of Cape Coast, Ghana
Scholarship Provider:University of Cape Coast, Ghana
Eligible Students:For Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Degree, applicants must hold a good master’s degree (Grade: A or B+ would be an advantage) and Master of Philosophy (MPhil) Degree, applicant must hold a bachelors’ degree preferably Second Class Honours (Upper Division) or better from a recognized university.
Course:Scholarships are offered for Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Master of Philosophy (MPhil) Degrees.
Award Details:The scholarships cover tuition, monthly stipends, and field research grants as well as other material and technical support. For PhD programme, successful candidates will spend up to 6 months at the University of Rhode Island in the United States as part of their studies.

TWAS Prizes for Ghanaians
Scholarship Provider: The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS)
Eligible Students: Candidates for a TWAS Prize must be scientists who have been working and living in a developing country for at least ten years immediately prior to their nomination.
Course: Prizes are available to individual scientists.
Award Details: Each year the Academy awards eight TWAS prizes of USD15, 000 each. Each prize is accompanied by a medal.
